Become an Entry Level Wildland Firefighter

Madison College is offering an instructor led Basic Wildland Fire Course (S-130, S-190, L-180) on weekends in February.  The classes start this Friday February 11.  Class dates are Fri Feb 11, Sat Feb 12, Sun Feb 13 and Sat Feb 26, Sun Feb 27.  All classes run 8 am to 5 pm.

This course is training needed to qualify as an aspiring wildland firefighter. If you have ever considered either working on a wildland firefighting crew or joining a prescribed fire crew here in Wisconsin, this is the course you need on your resume. Class size is strictly limited so act immediately if you are interested.
