Certified seed

The progeny of Breeder, Foundation, or Registered seed that is handled to maintain satisfactory genetic identity and purity, and that has been approved and certified by the certifying agency. Certified tree seed is defined as seed from trees of proven genetic superiority, as defined by the certifying agency, produced to ensure genetic identity.
