Major Land Resource Area(s) (MLRA)

A system of land classification composed of geographically associated land resource units; MLRAs are important in agricultural and other types of regional planning. Land resource units are geographic areas, usually several thousand acres that are characterized by a particular pattern of soils, climate, water resources, and land uses.
