Digestible dry matter (DDM)

Estimates the percentage of forage that is digestible. It is calculated from acid detergent fiber (ADF) values and is similar to total digestible nutrient (TDN). The more ADF a feed contains, the lower the DDM value will be. DDM values are calculated using the equation DDM% = 88.9 [Source: USDA National Plant Materials Manual]
