Description:

Herbaceous perennial; typically grows 1–3 feet tall in full sun on dry sandy soils. Leaves are opposite, thick, bluish-green to gray-green, broadly ovate to elliptic, sessile or clasping the stem; surfaces often waxy-coated. It is taprooted with some fibrous lateral roots. Flowers are Large, tubular, bell-shaped (campanulate), lavender to purplish-pink; 1–2 in long; two-lipped)with a slightly expanded throat.
