The Right Tool

As a private landowner, I know how frustrating it can be to look for a tool and not be able to put my hand on it right away. Whether it is the chainsaw wrench, or that little tool for changing tips on my herbicide bottle, searching for the right tool is frustrating. Just as vexing is looking for the right online tool. Having one convenient starting point can make all the difference. If you are like me, the bookmarks folder on my web browser looks like bowl of pasta.
Recently, I decided it was time to simplify my online tool drawer and put together a paired down collection of the online tools I use the most. These are my go-to resources for doing conservation work on my property. I called it my Landowner Toolbox and want to share it with you.
If you are new to my website and blog, you will notice it focused on Wisconsin landowners. The Landowner Toolbox is designed for Badger State property owners, but many of the online resources are nationwide databases and those that focus on Wisconsin will be useful to landowners across the upper midwest.
Because I know there are resources I forgot check back from time to time. I promise to add tools as I come across them. If you want to recommend new tools, email me: mark.horn@conservationdigest.com.
