Wetlands in the Penokee Hills provide cool clean water to Lake Superior.

Wisconsin Wetlands Association is celebrating 50 years of protecting wetlands in 2019 with events across the state. Join WWA Executive Director, Tracy Hames in an excursion to the upper watershed wetlands of the Bad River watershed. This incredibly rich and diverse wetland landscape is home to native brook trout, trumpeter swans, beaver, and many other treasures. You will learn how these upper watershed wetlands help capture runoff and provide cool, clean water to the creeks and rivers downstream, all the way to Lake Superior.
