Trade the yachts and overpriced shops of that other Fish Creek for the incredible natural beauty these wetlands that feed the Chequamegon Bay of Ashland County.

Wisconsin Wetlands Association is celebrating 50 years of protecting wetlands in 2019 with events across the state. Join WWA member Cathy Techtmann on a paddling tour of the Fish Creek Estuary in Ashland, WI. Learn about the importance of estuary wetlands along the south shore of Lake Superior for providing wildlife habitat, fish spawning, and bio-diversity. You will also learn about how these important wetland areas can be affected by land-use actions upstream. Participants will need to bring their own canoe or kayak.
