We expect to offer the 2022 Wetland Science Conference as a hybrid event, meaning people will be able to attend in person or virtually. Conference plenary and general oral presentation sessions will be live-streamed. Some content will be only available in person (e.g. field trips and workshops).

Fees for the conference will be the same whether you attend in person or virtually. Fees include plenary sessions, general oral sessions, and networking opportunities. All attendees will have access to on-demand recordings of presentations following the conference.

We are charging the same fees for both in-person and virtual attendees in order to cover the costs associated with producing this hybrid conference. It costs WWA significantly more for us to produce the conference than we charge in fees. We are able to keep the fees below cost because of the generous support of our sponsors.

Registration fees for the 2021 conference

Real-time attendance at the full conference (in-person or virtually):

  • Students – $97.50 (a 50% discount)
  • WWA Members – $156.00 (a 20% discount. Join or renew today and save!)
  • Nonmembers – $195.00

The above fees reflect early bird rates good through January 14, 2022. After January 14, fees increase by $40. Registration for in-person attendance will close at noon on February 10, 2022, and no at-the-door registrations will be accepted for the in-person conference. Registration for virtual attendance will remain open through the conference.

At any time, a registrant can change the type of their registration from in-person to virtual by notifying WWA at conference@wisconsinwetlands.org. A person registered to attend virtually may switch their registration to in-person attendance up to noon on February 10, 2022, after which time we are not able to accommodate this change. Note that in-person-only optional events such as field trips or workshops are not available virtually, and that some content is only available virtually.

Wednesday evening banquet: Tickets to the in-person banquet with a presentation by Peter David, wildlife biologist for the Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission, are $50. Details.

On-demand only (access to all presentation recordings as of March 1, 2022, no real-time access during the conference).

  • Students – $50
  • WWA Members – $80
  • Nonmembers – $100
