America led the world in setting aside the many of its best natural areas for public use. As a result, everybody has an equal opportunity to see Yosemite Valley, the Grand Canyon, Old Faithful and the Everglades. Our national forests and rangelands are managed as a perpetual resources, protected for long-term benefit of all Americans, rather than short term extraction. Salmon and trout fisheries; waterfowl wetlands and mountain elk ranges are available for all to hunt and fish, unlike old world countries where high quality hunting and fishing are the exclusive privilege of the wealthy. Below are a listing of federal, tribal and state agencies that oversee our public lands and their legacy.
